the ultimate shepherds pie

It was so good, even Mika had two portions.

I’m not going to tell you how to make mash because it’s mash. But I did but some cheese in it.

Ingredients:

  • 400g lamb mince
  • 400g beef 
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tbsp thyme 
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 1 punnet mushrooms 
  • 2 medium carrots, finely chopped 
  • 1 tbsp tomato purée 
  • 1 carton of sieved tomatoes 
  • 4 tbsp Worcester sauce 
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp oregano 
  • 2 stock cubes/pots (chicken or whatever) 
  • 3 tbsp of gravy granules 

Method:

Brown onions and carrots, low and slow. Add mince and brown with garlic and thyme. Add remainder of ingredients (except gravy granules), pressure cook for 5 minutes and then instant release. Add gravy granules to mixture and mix until thickened.
Add to pie dish, top with cheesy mashed potato
