the best tangy fish curry

  • 4 basa fillets
  • 1/2 bulb of garlic
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 level teaspoon of chilli powder
  • 1 heaped teaspoon turmeric
  • 5 tomatoes
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • coriander
  1. Brown garlic, add onions & brown with salt
  2. Add some boiled water, chilli powder and turmeric – cook on high heat for 5 minutes
  3. Add more water and leave it on a low heat for 10 minutes
  4. Add tomatoes and lemon juice, and cover with a lid for 10 minutes and then blend
  5. Poach the fish in the pot for 10 minutes, and garnish with coriander
