Nando’s Fakeaway

  • 1 small onion
  • 6 green chillis
  • 1 bulb garlic
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp mixed herbs
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vinegar

Blend and marinate chicken. Bake at 200 until cooked and slightly charred. Baste every 10 minutes.

Have with spicy rice:

  • 2 cups rice
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 2 peppers diced (mixed colours)
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 cups water
  1. Brown onion and peppers
  2. Add garlic, tomato puree, coriander, cumin, turmeric, salt and cook for 5 minutes
  3. Add rice, and water, and cook on high until 80% of the water has evaporated
  4. Cover and steam for 15 minutes
