- 1 cup daal
- 1 tsp basaar
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 2.5 cups of water
- 1 tomato
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
Tadka:
- oil/butter
- 1 tsp whole cumin
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp garlic
- coriander
- 2 x green chilli
- 1/2 onion
- Boil daal with salt, onion, basaar, tomato and tomato puree on medium heat until the daal is cooked
- Cook the tadka until fragrant and add to daal
