- 1kg beef mince
- 100g breadcrumbs
- 1 grated red onion
- 4 garlic cloves grated
- 4 tbsp oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- generous grind of black pepper
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic and herb shaker
- Grate the red onion and the garlic, add the oil, the eggs, salt, black pepper, tomato puree, paprika and garlic and herbs. Mix well.
- Add the mince, mix well.
- Add the breadcrumbs, mix well, and form meatballs.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Put in the air fryer for 20 minutes at 180.
chilli sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 small red onions
- 3 green chillis
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1.5 tsp salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 lemon juiced
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp parsley or some fresh coriander
- Brown the onions and chillis in some oil.
- Add the garlic and fry off for 1 minute.
- Add the remaining ingredients apart from the lemon.
- Simmer for 15-20 minutes on a low heat until thickened.
- Blend.
I served this with boiled rice and air fryer potatoes. The rice was better.
I also did a little salad with red onion soaked in some pomegranate molasses, cucumber, and pomegranate.
